Hi, I'm Toria, the creator of TM TechWorks. I am passionate about technology, web design, cybersecurity, computer repair, and helping others learn how to use technology in a simple and understandable way.
TM TechWorks is where I bring together my love for IT, digital creativity, educational content, and hands-on problem solving.
Every journey has a beginning, and mine started before I was born. In 1990, my family moved to British Columbia, Canada, where they lived for seven years. I was born there in 1993, and in 1997, my family moved to Banner County, Nebraska, where I grew up and where my passion for technology first began to develop.
I started kindergarten in the fall of 1998, graduated from kindergarten in 1999, graduated from eighth grade in 2007, and graduated from high school in May 2011. Throughout my school years, computers became one of my biggest interests.
I was born with cerebral palsy and received support through special education services during school. At times, people questioned what I would be able to accomplish, especially with computers and technology. Instead of letting that discourage me, it motivated me to work harder and prove that I could succeed in the field I loved.
Technology became a place where I could learn, create, problem-solve, and connect with something that made sense to me. Computers did not judge me; they challenged me. That connection is one of the reasons I chose technology as my career path.
My interest in computers started through gaming, exploring software, experimenting with programs, and teaching myself how different systems worked. By my senior year of high school, I began taking computer classes, including Web Design and Computer Graphics. Those classes introduced me to the creative side of technology and helped confirm that I wanted to pursue a future in IT.
Music was also an important part of my school years. I played trumpet in band, and that experience led to one of the biggest opportunities of my life: traveling to Europe in June 2011. During that trip, I visited London, England, Paris, France, Frankfurt, Germany, a concentration camp in Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Liechtenstein, and Venice, Italy. Although I do not play trumpet regularly anymore, music is still a part of my story, and I still think about playing again someday.
After graduating high school, I started college in the fall of 2011. At first, I was not completely sure what career path I wanted to follow. During that first semester, I began taking computer classes and quickly realized that information technology was where I belonged.
In 2016, I earned my Associate of Applied Science in Computer Science. I am currently finishing my Associate of General Studies and plan to graduate in December 2026. After that, my goal is to transfer to Bellevue University in Nebraska to earn my Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity.
Living with a seizure disorder has also been part of my journey. For a long time, seizures prevented me from being able to drive. During those years, I focused on my education, technology skills, and long-term goals. In December 2024, I purchased my first vehicle, a 2016 Hyundai Elantra Value Edition, and in the summer of 2025, I earned my driver's license. That milestone gave me more independence and reminded me how far I had come.
Technology is more than a career path for me; it is one of my biggest passions. Over the years, I have built a personal collection of computers, MacBooks, Windows systems, iPhones, iPads, iPods, an Apple Watch, and other technology that helps me continue learning. I enjoy repairing computers, exploring operating systems, building websites, testing software, and learning how different devices work.
Gaming has also played a major role in my life. Games helped introduce me to computers and gave me another way to explore technology. Some of the games I enjoy include Wizard101, The Sims 3, Tom Clany's Rainbow Six, Splinter Cell, and other classic computer games. I also create gaming tutorials because games can be both fun and educational.
Today, TM TechWorks brings all of these parts of my life together: technology, education, creativity, computer repair, web design, cybersecurity, gaming, and content creation. Through this website and my YouTube channel, my goal is to keep learning, help others understand technology, and show that challenges do not have to stop someone from building a meaningful future.
"My disability never defined what I could accomplish. It helped shape my determination. Technology became the place where I found confidence, creativity, and a future I could build one step at a time."
This is Max, my Scotch Collie and my best friend. Max has been by my side through college, creating TM TechWorks, studying technology, building websites, and creating YouTube videos.
Whether I am repairing a computer, learning a new operating system, editing videos, or simply relaxing after a long day, Max is usually nearby keeping me company.
Through both exciting moments and challenging ones, Max has been a loyal companion and an important part of my journey.
Building clean, modern, and responsive websites.
Learning and practicing cybersecurity, networking, and system protection.
Troubleshooting, upgrading, and repairing computers and technology.
Creating educational YouTube tutorials about technology, repairs, and IT topics.
TM TechWorks was created with one simple goal: to make technology easier to understand and more accessible for everyone. Technology is constantly evolving, and I believe learning should be an exciting journey, not an intimidating one.
Through educational tutorials, web design, cybersecurity, computer repair, networking, and creative digital projects, I hope to share knowledge that helps people build confidence in using technology. Whether you're just getting started or looking to expand your skills, my goal is to provide practical information that you can apply in the real world.
As I continue my education and pursue a career in cybersecurity, TM TechWorks will continue to grow alongside me. My mission is to keep learning, keep creating, and keep helping others discover what technology can do while building a community that encourages curiosity, creativity, and lifelong learning.
The journey is only beginning. Every new skill I learn, every project I complete, and every challenge I overcome continues to shape my future in technology.
My goals include earning my Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, continuing to grow TM TechWorks, expanding my YouTube channel, developing professional web projects, creating educational resources, and helping people around the world learn more about technology.
Every tutorial, every repair, every website, and every new challenge brings me one step closer to that vision.
